Using Windows95? NT? Get OpenType (True Type Open) Fonts From Microsoft (FREE)

These fonts are known as OpenType fonts (or True Type Open fonts). They are an extension of the standard True Type font and allow several "language scripts" to be stored in one font. Consequently, you will NOT see a separate Latvian/Baltic font installed on your system, just a few larger font files. You will only see the different language scripts in programs that support this, such as Wordpad.

These "exe" files contain the font files and instructions in a compressed format. Download and save to a your hard disk. Double-clicking on the file will present you with a Microsoft License aggreement. If you accept the aggreement, you will be asked for a location where the font files can be expanded. You will see several files with the .ttf extension (your font files) and a README.TXT file which contains additional installation instructions for installing the fonts under Windows.

These fonts are provided, courtesy of Codefusion Communications Inc, for those people who wish to learn latvian but do not have the resources to obtain commercial font packs. Two styles: BalticSerif and BalticSans.
